ProControl recently participated in the fifth edition of IVS – Industrial Valve Summit, the premier international event dedicated to industrial valve technologies and flow control solutions. The event, held over three days, from 14th to16th May, saw record-breaking attendance with more than 15,000 visitors from 69 countries. A valuable opportunity to meet our clients and supporters and discuss how to transform market challenges into real opportunities for growth and improvement.
Introducing ProControl’s Innovative Solutions
At ProControl, an Italian manufacturing company specializing in heavy-duty valve actuation and control solutions, we pride ourselves on delivering advanced solutions tailored for the most demanding environments. Our presence at IVS 2024 was marked by the introduction of several groundbreaking products designed to meet the evolving needs of the Energy Industries.
316SS Actuators and Gearboxes for Harsh Environments
One of the highlights was the showcase of our actuators and gearboxes made from 316 Stainless Steel, specifically engineered for offshore applications, offering superior resistance to corrosion. Our 316 Stainless Steel actuators gearboxes provide reliable performance in the harshest environments, ensuring operational efficiency and performance reliability.
Compact Actuators and Innovative Design
Among our showcased innovations at IVS 2024 was our compact Squash actuator, specifically engineered for riser valves. This actuator features a completely redesigned internal mechanism, setting a new standard in the market for compact actuators by providing enhanced functionality and efficiency. The Squash Actuator series is designed to optimize space constraints, making it ideal for applications where space is a critical factor. Additionally, our solution is presented in 316 stainless steel, perfect for offshore and severe service environments. This ensures optimal performance and durability in any situation, guaranteeing that ProControl continues to lead the way in providing innovative, high-performance solutions for the valve actuation and control industry.
3D Printed Hydraulic Manifold in 316L Stainless Steel
At IVS 2024, ProControl also highlighted the significant impact of additive manufacturing on the energy sector. Our commitment to innovation was showcased through the presentation of our 3D printed high-pressure compact hydraulic manifold in 316L stainless steel which represents a major advancement in leveraging additive manufacturing to create complex, efficient solutions that are both cost-effective and environmentally friendly. Additive manufacturing allows for the production of highly customized components with improved design flexibility and reduced material waste. By using 316L stainless steel powders derived from metal scraps, we not only contribute to sustainability but also enhance the lifecycle and performance reliability of our products. ProControl’s proactive approach to incorporating additive manufacturing underscores our dedication to pioneering innovative solutions that meet the stringent requirements of the energy industry. We believe that this technology will play a crucial role in the future of energy production, enabling more efficient and sustainable operations. By combining advanced actuator designs with the transformative potential of additive manufacturing, ProControl is well-positioned to support the energy sector’s transition towards more efficient and environmentally responsible practices. Our solutions are not only designed to meet current industry standards but also to drive future advancements in valve actuation and control technologies.
ProControl’s Proactive and Solution-Driven Approach
At ProControl, we are committed to promoting a proactive and solution-driven approach rather than passively following industry trends. We aim to be pioneers and make a positive impact. As proud members of ValveCampus, we participated as speakers in the conferences organized by the fair. These sessions discussed the impacts of the second edition of the API 6DX standard and how ProControl is addressing these changes. This provided an excellent opportunity for us to voice our perspectives and inspire continuous improvement. The new edition of the standard highlights the critical role of actuators as main drivers of actuated valves, emphasizing the importance of awareness among valve manufacturers, end users, and contractors. ProControl also supported an intriguing conference on additive manufacturing, a topic of significant relevance today. We presented our prototype of a high-pressure hydraulic manifold using powders derived from metal scrubs. While there is still much work to be done and many tests to conduct before it can be mass-produced, we are confident that this approach represents a path toward greater sustainability.
